Thursday 1st February

I slept like a log after running like crazy on Thursday evening. It was a good thing since we had to leave early in the morning to get to the Postjonska cave on time.

The Postjonska cave was breathtaking. I had been to a stalagmite cave before but this one took the cake. The best thing about it was that there is Human fish there :-)

When we came out from the cave we ate and started to go to our next attraction, which was the castle built in the same cave where we came from just from the other side. It may sound weird in some way but it was just amazing. I can't explain it much detail so let's just leave it at that it was really cool and exciting.

Then we packed ourselves to the bus again and started to head to the coast city Piran.

To say it in a compact package it was very, very, very deserted looking place. I guess it wasn't at it's best in winter :-P

Team Finland
We climbed a hill we could see the sea and two of the neighboring countries. After that, it was just some free time and a trip back to Tolmin. We took the motorway that took us to Italy and back.

Wednesday, 31st January

Just a quick review of the happenings at school. First we learned to dance some folk dances together.Dances were pretty easy and it was nice to dance with others. After that we had a little spare time so we danced some other dances, for example macarena and letkajenkka.

Then it was time for the music workshop. We listened to music and songs from all around the world, and some of us even went to play or sing along those songs.

After dancing there was some team building. It meant some mini-games where we had to work as a team. In one game we had to transport a little marble ball through the room with pipes. Games were great fun.

But the main event was what happened after the things at school. We went again to the same pizzeria and had a meal together again. After having our tummies full we went to a place where the two rivers flowing through Tolmin meet up. It was just as beautiful as ever. After everyone had gotten their photos, we played some outdoor games from different countries there. We had lots of fun.

When we had played enough we went to Gasper’s, one of the Slovenian student's,
house, all 16 of us, and cooked our turkey steaks and mashed some potatoes. We didn't even have enough plates or knives so we shared them. It was fascinating, to be honest. We talked and laughed. We also listened to music. Then it was time to go and get some sleep.

After all the day was awesome, it was so fun and the people were just amazing!
